History of Sherco, Inc. and Owner Robert P. Schuler

Sherco, Inc. was formed in 2007, yet the owner Robert "Bob" Schuler has been surveying since 1975. Sherco, Inc. surveyors are licensed to provide surveys and related services in the State of Florida and in the State of Georgia. Based out of their Highlands County office, in central Florida, Sherco Inc. serves the surrounding counties with the most personal quality of service and most up-to-date equipment and computer programming available. Sherco, Inc. takes pride in the quality of services we provide and continue to strive for excellence.

Sherco, Inc. offers a full range of surveying services, both residential and commercial. They are equipped with GPS (Global Positioning Systems) and perform topographic surveys as well. Sherco's office in the Hotel Jacaranda Arcade is open from 7:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Bob is following in the footsteps of his father, the late Harold "Hal" Schuler, who operated in Avon Park in the same profession for 11 years from 1975 to 1986, before retiring. Bob Schuler operated a firm as a registered land surveyor in Miami from 1975 to 1991 before coming to Highlands County where his parents Hal and Patricia were residing. He then joined a large engineering and surveying firm, and successfully grew within the firm for 18 years.

Bob's retirement from surveying was brief, and he contnued to keep an active license for Florida and Georgia. As both a licensed residential surveyor and a licensed commercial surveyor, Bob jumped into the opportunity of running his own firm with both feet. Historic, restored downtown Avon Park, Florida, welcomed Owner and Veteran Surveyor, Robert P. Schuler, doing business as Sherco, Inc. surveying services, to his new office at 16 North Lake Avenue in May of 2010. Now open for business in the renovated Arcade at the Hotel Jacaranda, Sherco and "Bob" Schuler are in the office 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Bob's credentials include memberships in Sebring Sunrise Rotary Club, Florida Surveying and Mapping Society, and the Georgia Surveying and Mapping Society. Schuler is registered currently in both Florida and Georgia.

"I love this area, especially this town and county," Schuler says, "This is where I have worked for 18 years before retiring from my previous employment last May, and now I want to build a business once again."

Bob resides in the City of Avon Park with his wife, Sharon.
